About Firewood Devils

Firewood Devils is the firewood business built within Leslievale Landscape & Gravel Supplies, both sub-companies of RAZORSEDGE P/L. Over the years, we have recognised the need to find something that would keep us busy in the winter months as the demand for landscape supplies diminished in the cooler months. Having had many years in the timber industry, it seemed a natural progression and add-on to the business.

However, in the last 15 years, the demand for quality, clean and sustainably sourced firewood products has dramatically increased. Our customers are looking for sustainable firewood all year round. In addition to the increased firewood demand, we are a fully accredited member of the Firewood Association Of Australia. From a part-time business venture, Firewood Devils is now a full-time standalone division of the company that employs three full-time staff members five days a week.

The Latest in Firewood Technology

We are constantly updating and upgrading machinery so as to produce the best quality product as well as upgrading our delivery vehicles so we can supply and cover the delivery requirements for all our customers, which are quite varied, be it 1-tonne tipper delivery on one of our small trucks which are the size of the average delivery van to the bigger tippers that can carry four tonnes for the bigger bulk deliveries.

All our firewood is sold over a certified weighbridge; all firewood is legally sourced from renewable, certified and sustainable forests contractors and companies.

Accredited Member of the Firewood Association of Australia

We are the only retail bulk seller in Southern Tasmania that is a member of the Firewood Association of Australia and adhere to the association's code of conduct and practices.

No Waste Production

We run a no-waste production. All material collected from screening and cleaning the wood is turned into garden mulch as well as sawdust which is used for a variety of uses, from garden paths to animal bedding etc.

All our wood is screened clean before stockpiling and stockpiled on a bitumen hardstand area to assure you of the cleanest possible product.

All of our wood is cut to 300mm in length, which fits pretty much all fire boxes manufactured these days and whatever is left of the log at the end of the process is put out and sold as unsplit pot belly wood. Unsplit pot belly wood has also become very popular as a standalone product over the last few years.

All our logs are processed through the most modern machines on the market and split into easy-to-handle sizes.

Convenient Firewood Delivery

We offer delivery to all areas from a minimum of 1 tonne up to a maximum of 4-tonne loads.

We have customer courtesy trailers available free to use when buying our product (booking is essential as they are usually quite busy). We also have a hand-loading area which is very popular. Hence, our customers simply drive onto our weighbridge. We record the empty weight; they go to our hand load area, which is bitumen; to keep the wood as clean as possible, load their vehicle up back onto the weighbridge to get your loaded weight. You're done; it's that simple.

It is very popular for those that want a fire now and then or for those that don't have the room to store delivery or are on their way home to just call in and grab a boot, Ute, or trailer loads, a similar process for the customers that buy bulk Ute, trailer or truck loads. Still, we load it for you with our wheel loader again of the bitumen pad, so the product is as clean as possible.
